Selenite Desert Rose Cluster - Size #0
The formation of the desert rose crystals take after a rose flower. The petals are flat crystal blades that fan out like a blooming flower in a circular array. Selenite, desert rose grows in deserts with dry temperatures mixed with heat trap the sand allowing crystals to create fan-shaped blades with a rosette pattern. The “roses” tend to grow in a wide variety of ways, making each cluster a unique piece of beauty.
Desert Rose Selenite is a unique, commonly occurring crystal created by water, wind, and sand.
Ancient Greeks called this crystal Selenite, which means moon. Due to it’s translucent nature, Selenite was also once used as windows in temples and the homes of nobles because it’s opaque nature allowed light to shine through and disperse throughout the room.
Note: desert roses are extremely fragile and must be handled with care!
