Pyrite medium sized chips from Peru in a “B Quality” packaged into 500g Bags, each stone will vary in size and shape based on our ranges from ¾” to 1 ¾” and you will find anywhere from 8 to 30 pieces per 500g bag.

Gold and pyrite both have a brilliant metallic luster but are different tones of yellow. Gold is golden to silvery yellow, whereas pyrite is a pale to medium brassy yellow that sometimes tarnishes.

The name pyrite comes from the Greek word pyr meaning flame, since pyrite emits sparks when it’s struck by steel. Even during the prehistoric times pyrite has been used to start fires.
