Onyx is a calcium carbonate that forms in orthorhombic crystals. It is polymorphous, meaning it’s the same chemical formula as calcite but has a different crystal structure. Believed to be a good Earth healer, it helps create a deeper connection with the earth by grounding the earth-star chakra.
