Amazonite is a stone named after the Amazon River and is a fairly rare variation of feldspar. It is famous for its blue-green colour reminiscent of the green foliage of South America’s tropical rain forests. The specimen for sale has both flat and rough faces that showcase its bluish-green and reddish-brown natural colours quite well.
The top of the piece has regular white microcline with small smoky quartz crystals sprouting out of the tip. This is a very interesting piece with much variation for show. Note: This product is fairly brittle and must be handled with care.
